  1. Open the iPhone screen: Open the iPhone screen and swipe; the screen apps will appear.  

  1. Select the app: Select the app you want to remove from the screen; a minus (-) sign will hover over the app icon.

  1. Click on the minus sign: Click on the minus sign to remove the app from the screen. The selected app will move from the iPhone screen to the app gallery.

How to Directly hide an app on iPhone 18

The hide app feature on iPhone 18 works just like all the older versions, but it also has a new feature that works well on all apps i.e., you can hide multiple apps. To hide all apps on the iPhone 18, follow the following steps:-

  1. Tap on the empty screen:  Open your iPhone and tap on the screen; after tapping the empty screen, the apps will Jiggle and a minus sign will hover over them.

  1. Select the hide all app option:  Now, select ‘ hide all apps’  from the menu on your screen.

  1. Select the minus (-) sign that appears: If you want to hide some selective apps., click on the minus icon to hide these apps. 

  1. Your apps will move to the app gallery: now your app will move to the app gallery; you can unhide the app to move the app to the app gallery.


Now you have learned to hide apps directly on the iPhone, by tapping on the screen.

If you need more privacy, you can try an alternative method – moving apps to the app vault.

Move your apps to the app vault on your iPhone. If you need more privacy, using the app Vault for iPhone is the best option. App vault contains and hides the apps on the iPhone. 

How to Hide app using Apple App vault 

You either use the iPhone default app vault or install a third-party app vault from the Apple store. To hide an app on the iPhone App Vault, follow the following steps:- 

  1. Select the app you want to hide: Open your iPhone and select the app you want to hide.

  1. Select Move to Apple app vault: After you selected the app, click move to the Apple app vault, from the menu appearing on the screen.

  1. Let the app move: Now your app has successfully moved to the app vault.

How to Hide app using third-party App vault 

You can also use a third-party app vault, by downloading them from the Apple Store. The third-party app operates slightly differently from the Apple app Vault. To move your app using the third-party App vault from Apple Store, follow the following steps:- 

  1. Open the vault: open the wall and select add an app, to add the app you want to hide from the home screen.

  1. Select the desired app: The option to add apps will be on your screen, select the application you want to add to move to the app vault.

  1. Wait till app move: Now wait for the app to move from the home screen to the third App vault.


Sometimes you must hide your App due to privacy issues; you can do it easily, either by tapping on the screen I am selecting directly, and tapping on the blank screen and selecting multiple apps or all apps from the screen. 


You can also try an alternative method, the hiding apps on app Vault to hide the app from the home screen. For hiding the app in the app vault, you can choose the Apple app vault or install a third-party app vault from the Apple Store.
