Top 10 Reasons for Climate Change Around the World 2024

Industry affecting climate change Climate Change Around the World 2024

Climate change is an issue globally even in 2024. Changes in our climate are causing extreme weather, rising seas, and vanishing habitats. So, what is causing this drastic shift in the Earth's climate? This article examines same.

How is the climate changing?

Even the agricultural sector we use promote environmental harming instrument which contribute about 11% of global greenhouse gas emission  The rice paddies and agricultural soils  are sources of methane and nitrous oxide as greenhouse gases, reinforcing global warming  and soil pollution , which heats the earth atmosphere and reduces the atler holding capacity of the soil, causing distrubances in the earthly water cycle.

The major drivers of climate change are burning fossil fuels, deforestation, industrialization, agriculture, and waste management. All of these activities include serious greenhouse gasses.

Main sources contributing to the climatic change

  1.  Non-Eco friendly fuels: we till date use  fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, are the pretty old reasons for climate change. The environment halpers by use of these fossil fuels. The  coal, oil, and natural gas, emit large amounts of carbon dioxide (and other such gasses) when burned to generate, heat, or provide power for transport and power plant.
  2. Depleting forest reserves : Forests are key to drawing CO2 out of the atmosphere. However,  cutting dowm forest lands for  the agriculture, logging, and urban sprawl incresaes  CO2 emisssion in the air.  With every cut down of forest reverse  we increase  10% of global carbon emissions.
  3.  Neglected Industrialisation : Industrialization has shifted the equilibrium towards global warming by venting mass volumes of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere, all thanks to neglected and outdated legislation  Yes no much of chance has been made in industrial policies globally, since the indutrial revolution has taken place. The industrial processes yet  contribute to climate change drastically by releasing CO2  and sulphar in air and toxins in water waste.
  4. Wasteland: T.S. Eliot talked about a wasteland in his poetries, and now you can see it , in 2024 we yet have wastelands in water bodies ot in the lands. the undecomposed waste contribute yet to  25 times more potent greenhouse gas than CO2, the waste material such has plastic ploymer, ployster cloths  realease gases.
  5. Transportation: Fossil fuels are a primary energy source for modes of transport that, on a global scale, power vehicles like cars, trucks, ships, planes, and trains. Almost a quarter of global carbon emissions come from transport.
  6. Overfishing and Oceanic Degradation; verfishing and oceanic degradation degrade marine ecosystems, reducing the Earth's natural capacity to revert back to its regular climatic cycle. The oceans are huge and crucial areas of carbon absorption—thus providing an immense carbon sink, absorbing around 30% of human-emitted CO2. However, overfishing, pollution, and acidification are all degrading marine ecosystems, limiting the ocean's capacity to soak up CO2.  This degradation weakens one of Earth's most important natural defenses against climate change.
  7.  Urbanisation: Hot cities of the future are expanding into regions where human energy is required at its highest, with the energy needed as much to build and maintain sprawl as to cool it down. The largest proven pollutants to the environment are transportation, construction, and energy use in cities, which cause significant CO2 emissions. Carbon emissions is a major contributors to climate change. The climate crisis intensifies through rising emissions. Global GHG emissions by Industrial sectors accounts for 25% of the total. The Neglected urban development, and wastelands of urban waste adds to the global warmting by emitting CO2 and poisonous sulphuric gases into the atmosphere, Transportation in city induce carbon emissions, accounting for over 25%.
  8. Consumerism and Overproduction: Global consumerism is fueling the production and consumption of unfathomable proportions. The production of goods is a big energy source, especially concerning electronics, clothing, and plastic manufacturing—items that are too often produced with fossil fuels. Waste management and transitioning to sustainable consumption can decrease GHG emissions and ease the burden on natural resources.

Main solution to the climatic change

Climate change drivers like this work together in an interconnected web and have roots in human activity that damages established systems. Various forces—from burning fossil fuels to activities like deforestation, agriculture, and urbanization—are accelerating the process of global warming. Having a solution to such issues is urgent with the alarming changes in the earth. I have listed below 5 main solution to the climatic change.

5 Main solution to the climatic change

    1. Natural energy sources: Natural energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro produce almost no greenhouse gasses. Replacing carbon-based energy sources with natural sources can siginifucantly help us in retoring earths climatic cycle.
    2. Forest reservesation:  Forest are carbon sink of the planet earth, hampering the confestication forest land, can drastically help managing rhe COz  level in the earth's atmosphere.
    3.  Electic automobile : Electric car and electric public transportation, and cleaner fuels can reduce vehicle emissions.
    4. Mindful consumerism: We require mindful consumerism to help the earth regain its cycle, such as avery comman example plastic wrapped chopped vegetable.
    5. Better legislations:  We require better legislation to get control over the water pollution , sewage outlet, unethical chemical incernation and unlawful degradation of city outskirts.

    Conclusion

Climate change is a global concern that is generating extreme weather, increasing sea levels, and habitat loss. The agricultural sector accounts for 11% of global greenhouse gas emissions, with rice paddies and agricultural soils producing methane and nitrous oxide emissions. To address climate change, five main solutions are proposed: replacing carbon-based energy sources with natural sources, preserving forest reserves, promoting electric vehicles, promoting mindful consumerism, and improvising legislation to control water pollution and sewage outlets.
