MVC Kishan Singh Rathore- army career
He was a dedicated soldier and was committed to his duties, he patrolled various borders and one of them being india -pakistan LOC, wherein he portrayed one his most bravest and smartest act of being a soldier. MVC. Lt. KS Rathore entered into the Indian Pakistan war on oct, 1947; when the Pakistani army attacked Taingarh and he with his regiment was ordered to protect the jammu-kashmir border.
He with his regiment defended border and country from the enemy, when the enemy attacked the Indian frontline with a force of 1500 men, and they were left 70 mens in total. They were fighting and surviving the ongoing wars, when suddenly the enemy launched simultaneous attacks in Naushera, a territory close to LOC, rathore and his team even survived it and brought glory to homeland.

MVC Lt. KS Rathore was commanding a team of 70 soldiers in the war, in the middle when the exchange of fires began and he prompted along with his team of soldiers, and also moved post to post to inspire his team of 70 men to fight against the enemy to the last breath.
They fought the war and fiercely battled against the team of 1500 enemy soldiers, caring about his own life despite being injured from head to toe.
He was a determined soldier and sharp cadet, he fired arms and fought against the enemy forcing them to retreat to their boundaries, even seeing his all men being martyred on the field.
He continued fighting and died fighting an army of enemy soldiers even when he was alone on the war field, he gave the testament of his bravery and his devotion to his nation.
On 5th March, after the war at Kaman Goshadhar, he brought back the body of his team which was lying in open ground swept by heavy enemy fire.
A few days after his arrival, the news flashes on the newspaper that the Indian soldiers overpowered 1500 Pakistani soldiers with merely 70 men.

Government awarded him high army honor, MahaVir Chakra for defending the border and country from the enemy, and was remembered for his courage and honor for not backing out fighting solely against the army of 1500 men and bringing dead bodies of his 70 comrades back to his respective homes for respectable cremation.
The Indian army and Indian government still remembers him as the daredevil whose act of uncanny courage, determination and leadership held the heads high of the entire nation and Indian army.
He and his men are tributed by the Indian government, by establishing a statue in the memorial of the war museum, situated in the national capital New Delhi.His stories of bravery are shared in the textbook and articles on the remembrance of India-pakistan war in every Indian newspapers.
