The answer is, "no". They are just normal human, and this lovely attraction is given a very cute name' selenophile'.  The lover of Greek goddess Selene.  

The myth of the witch moon

Witches in the folklore were the best doctor and druggist, that use to make the best herbal pharmaceutical product but even had the capacity to poison a person.

They we always exposed to the witch hunt because of its mysterious nature of science of naturopathy or the ignorance of the same, which gave it a bad reputation in the eyes of the medieval people.
